Overview
This course introduces children to the basics of game development using Roblox Studio. They will learn how to create, script, and share their own games. The course focuses on developing problem-solving skills, creativity, and collaboration through hands-on projects and interactive learning.
Course Objectives:
- Students will learn the fundamentals of game design by creating simple game environments, understanding key concepts of game mechanics and level design, and building engaging and interactive games.
- The course will introduce students to the Lua programming language, enabling them to write basic scripts to control game elements and behaviors, which is critical for adding functionality to their games.
- Participants will explore the use of built-in models and assets in Roblox Studio, gaining skills in customizing characters, objects, and environments to create unique and personalized game experiences.
- Students will develop the ability to test their games to identify and fix bugs, focusing on improving their problem-solving skills and ensuring their games perform well and provide a smooth user experience.
By the end of the course, students will know how to publish their games on the Roblox platform, understanding the process of sharing their creations with friends and the broader Roblox community, gaining insights into game distribution and community engagement.
